Welcome to my new and improved website! Was this decision by choice? Not really, but I wasn’t going to stop writing.
I tried doing some importing and exporting with my old website and, let’s just say that I messed up (lol).
I realized this minor setback was for a reason and I appreciate it (big thanks to the universe)!
Today’s post is about some businesses that I came across. These two businesses are local and you will not be disappointed by what I found.
It was a Saturday morning when a friend and I discovered this gem. We were coffee deprived and needed a pick-me-up that was nearby.
I usually go to local coffee shops that friends have recommended, but we were looking for something ASAP.
Arriving to the coffee shop, you will quickly realize that they have drive-thru (for the win), but not many parking spots are available.
The outside is super adorable and once you walk inside, you will feel the SMOOTH vibe this coffee shop gives.
Their menu ranges from coffee to food, and to pastries. I ordered the Horchata Latte and my friend, Geraldine, ordered the Turkish Latte. She also ordered the Burrito Bowl. (O.M.G., yes that good)
It was kind of busy inside so we went outside in their patio and it is the cutest set-up ever! Although it was hot (I know, we’re crazy), we didn’t care because we had the iced coffee to refresh us.
When I was inside, I noticed that they really live by their mission. They have many cards of local businesses available and they also support local artists. It’s wonderful to see local support local.
Not only is their coffee and food delicious; their smoothies are incredibly tasteful and healthy. I ordered the strawberry flavor and Geraldine ordered the Green Monster smoothie (obviously we had to come back).
If you ever get a chance, stop by their location on 14th Street and McDowell. They are open every day of the week!

How perfect is a coffee shop and boutique right next to each other?! And they’re both local? (Yasss Kweeen)
I’m not joking when I say that you will spend hours inside. There is SO much to look at, which is a positive thing because everything they sell is made by someone locally.
As I was talking to Kui, she was telling me how many of their local artists live extremely close to the shop.
Unfortunately, Geraldine and myself only had five minutes because of work (boo) and we had to rush. But, I ended up buying the cutest necklace (thank you Geraldine)!
The necklace above is in a shape of a coffee cup with the words ‘coffee’ engraved. How freaking cute! I had to buy it haha.
I had so much fun seeing handmade jewelry, cards, clothes, and more!
Founded in 2016, their mission is to share their love for handmade accessories and gifts. By supporting local artists, they are helping make someone’s day better because of the unique items they sell.
