Disclaimer: I have collaborated with Everest & Co., so in this post you will find some links regarding the boutique. If you click the link and make a purchase with my code, then it will count as “brownie points” for me!
Fall is finally making it’s way slowly but surely to Arizona. With this weather change, fashion is also changing. Sweaters, scarfs, leggings, boots (my fav) and more are being sold in popular stores.
Supporting local businesses whether they live within miles of your home or online, then you can be sure that it will benefit the economy. Plus, you make a genuine connection with the store owner because it is guaranteed the owner is working when you walk in. Oh and… you buy a unique product that not many people around the world have!
Alright, enough about my rant. Let’s get down to the fun stuff! I had Ashley, the owner, answer a couple of questions for me regarding the start of her business/brand. She was the sweetest person (we’re both sarcastic, so that’s a plus) and I am so excited that I am a part of her collaboration. (Click here to see my feature on their blog!)
Also, I had given you a preview of the dress on my Instagram. If you’re not following me no worries, just go here!
Why did you start your online boutique?
I started my own brand because I wanted to help women live their best lives. I’ve always wanted to have my own company, but I wanted to create my own community even more. I feel like Everest & Co. isn’t just a boutique, but a place to get inspired and live your own version of #LifeAtTheTop. I really wanted women to be wearing clothes from Everest & Co. on their first dates, accepting a promotion they worked for or just creating memories in. That is what I love the most about having my own brand!
What were you doing before you decided to take the next step in becoming an owner?
I am originally from Pittsburgh and made my way to Nashville by way of Los Angeles as a film major. I worked in the music industry in Nashville before starting my own company.
Other than being an owner, what do you enjoy doing?
I am very sarcastic and believe there really is room for everyone at the top. I am more of a giver than a taker and I dance at home by myself more than I’d like to admit. I have a puppy who has become my whole world and I just genuinely try to enjoy each and every day.
Alright, for my last question, what local business are you currently obsessed with and recommend?
Frothy Monkey has the absolute best iced vanilla latte in Nashville! I love the restaurant Graze in East Nashville and everywhere that has chips and salsa.
Those are all the questions! Now, for the clothes I decided to buy the ‘Marissa Dress’ because I could not give up the urge to buy something (you’ve felt this way too, don’t lie).
First of all, the dress arrived a lot faster than I expected. What I mean by that is I ordered it Friday and it arrived Monday! I was super excited to open the packaging and Ashley signed a postcard herself thanking me for making the purchase.
If it doesn’t get more personal than that, I don’t know what will!
I immediately wore the dress the following weekend to the state fair. The weather was perfect and I wore it with my converse and nothing else. It is a super simple dress, but you can wear it casually or dress it up with boots and a jacket for a fun night out.
In the front, it has a cute knot which makes the dress look a bit curvy (my style) and it is super light weight. The outside of the dress is very soft, which I became obsessed with.
You can check out their website for more styles and trust me when I tell you that you will find your next holiday outfit or even an outfit to lounge in!
Alright Jojo, you won me over so what’s the code?
Make sure to tag me on your next purchase and hashtag #LifeAtTheTop so Ashley can see that you support local businesses!
